In Österreich sind 27 % der „jungen Erwachsenen“ (25- bis 34-Jährige) nicht erwerbstätig, 18 % derer mit einem allgemeinbildenen Abschluss der Sekundarstufe II oder einem allgemeinbildenden postsekundären, nicht-tertiären Abschluss, 9 % derer mit einem berufsbildenen Abschluss auf diesem Niveau und wie im OECD-Durchschnitt 9 % der 25- bis 34-Jährigen mit einem tertiären Abschluss.
