„The childcare gap between the end of paid parental leave and guaranteed access to ECEC averages around 2 years across OECD countries, although there is no gap in 13 out of 44 countries. In these countries, parental leave and ECEC entitlement are aligned or overlap, providing greater flexibility for families. Conversely, in some other countries the gap can be more than 5 years.“
