„Teacher shortages in Austria are significant, with 4.778 vacancies representing 4.6% of all teaching positions in primary and secondary education, second only to Sweden among OECD countries with available data. […] An increasing number of these positions are being filled by teachers who are not fully qualified. The share of such teachers rose from 2.4% in the 2014/15 school year to 5.7% in the school year 2022/23.“
