„In many systems, students gain their upper secondary qualification based on a combination of internal school-based assessment, external examination and attendance, although the emphasis placed on each component differs. A recent study of 71 upper secondary certificates across 38 systems identified that assessment most commonly combines external exams with internal school-based assessment certificates.“
